Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is tipped to be launched with a 5G-supporting Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC soon. Although the smartphone is yet to receive an official confirmation, an image suggesting its existence has emerged on social media. Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is speculated to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. It may also come with a 120Hz AMOLED display that was one of the USPs of its 4G variant that debuted in India alongside Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in March. Tipster Abhishek Yadav tweeted the image suggesting the development of Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G . The promo image is available in Spanish language, indicating that the new phone might arrive first in Spain. Also, the design appearing on the image looks quite similar to the regular Redmi Note 10 Pro variant. There could be a new hardware internally, though. Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G might be in the works

The Redmi Note 10 Pro definitely has a lot going for it, what with the 108 MP main camera, 120 Hz AMOLED screen and all that - and let's not forget the affordable pricing. But it is missing one thing, and that is 5G connectivity. The spread of 5G across the globe might have been hampered by the pandemic, but coverage is still growing at a steady pace, so even for a mid-ranger it's becoming important to offer the next-gen connectivity. After all, Xiaomi already has a few 5G 'Lite' branded devices in this class, but those are more expensive than Redmis. According to a new rumor, accompanied by the image you can see above, a Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G might be in the works. This looks like an official promo image for the Spanish market, and what's depicted is a smartphone that looks a lot like the Redmi Note 10 Pro from the rear. And then there's all the talk of challenging the limits of 5G connectivity and such. So could it be? Could this be our first look at the upcom...

Google announces Entertainment Space for Android tablets

Android tablets still exist, somehow. And people may still be buying them, for some reason. All of this in spite of Google's best efforts to simply ignore the form factor completely for the past few years, and we don't mean just by not releasing any more of its own tablets, but also in not adapting Android to the bigger screen sizes at all. Today the search giant has suddenly remembered that Android tablets exist, and has thus announced a new feature, just for Android tablets. Can you believe it? Something in Android, tailor-made for tablets. Hell is freezing over, surely. Anyway, that's probably enough snark and you may be wondering what this is. It's called Entertainment Space, and, well, the name is pretty descriptive. Google describes it as "a one-stop, personalized home for all your favorite movies, shows, videos, games, and books". It lets you not go through the trouble of hopping between apps to try and figure out what's where, taking care of that f...

Rumour: Microsoft may be working on an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/ Spotify bundle

For Microsoft bundling has been the easy road to success, with a diverse and large bundle at a reasonable price making it easy to demonstrate value for money to consumers, even if they will never use the majority of the features in the bundle. In many ways Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is just such a bundle, with the service including Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Games Pass for PC, EA Play and xCloud Gaming. Now Microsoft may be looking to expand the bundle even wider if a new rumour is true. ALumia found a graphic in Microsoft’s servers which suggest Microsoft may be looking to add Spotify to the collection. We posted earlier today on carrier EE also bundling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with their smartphone contracts. With such an attractive value proposition Microsoft and its allies should be able to easily counter competition from the likes of Sony and Apple.

'Returnal' captures the beauty (and frustration) of failure

At first glance, it's easy to say "been there, done that" about  Returnal . A PlayStation 5 exclusive from Finnish developer Housemarque, best known for shooters like  Super Stardust HD , the game puts you in the shoes of a lone female space explorer who crash lands on an alien planet. Just about everything there wants to eat you alive — but more surprising is the realization that you're stuck in a time loop. Every death brings you right back to the site of the crash, with only a handful of items and what remains of your dignity. From that description alone, you can take your pick of references from  Alien, Metroid ,  Groundhog Day  and  Edge of Tomorrow.  The influences get even more specific the deeper you go, with space horror imagery from  Event Horizon  and the psychological intrigue of David Lynch. What makes it special, though, is how all of those disparate elements interact. It's at times frustratingly difficult, and its systems are...
