Samsung Galaxy M11 gets Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1 update

The Samsung Galaxy M11 announced last March with Android 10 and One UI 2.0 is receiving the Android 11 update with One UI Core 3.1 - a lighter version of One UI developed for low-end devices. The new firmware carries version number M115FXXU2BUD8 and comes with the April 2021 Android security patch. Additionally, the new build brings refreshed UI to the Galaxy M11 with improved performance, better customization, one-time permissions, enhanced Digital Wellbeing, and more. TN assembly polls 2021: Madras HC bans use of firecrackers on May 2

T he Madras High Court on Friday imposed a ban on the bursting of firecrackers on the day of the counting of votes in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on May 2. The high court said that it is hoping all political parties, media and citizens at large will follow the COVID-19 protocol on the day of the counting of assembly election votes on May 2. A few days back, the Election Commission of India had also banned victory celebration on the day of the counting of votes on May 2. The results of the Assembly elections held in five states/UT - West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry - will be announced on May 2. As per the exit polls, in Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is predicted to come to power.      The Supreme Court said on Friday no state can register a first information report (FIR) or take any action against people appealing for help or putting out their grievances on social media or elsewhere during the coronavirus pandemic. "We will treat this as contempt of our court. Let us hear the voices of our citizens and not clampdown," the top court said. “It is a grave concern to me as a citizen or judge. If citizens communicate their grievances on social media, we do not want to clamp down on information,” Justice DY Chandrahud said during the hearing as case of Covid-19 surged across the country. The top court also said that the healthcare infrastructure has been inherited in the last 70 years and so the proceedings are not to criticise the Centre or states.   As oxygen shortage continues, SC allows Vedanta to operate Tuticorin plant to meet 'national need' The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed  Vedanta  to operate its closed  oxygen  plant at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, saying the order has been passed in view of "national need" for  oxygen  and there should be no political bickering over the generation of the gas by the company as the country is facing a "national crisis". The apex court made it clear that  Vedanta  shall not be allowed to enter and operate its copper smelting plant under the garb of this order and that permission to operate  oxygen  plant would not create any equity in the company's favour.
