Apple and Epic Games are facing each other in arguably the biggest tech trial of the year. The maker of games like Fortnite fights Apple for allegedly having a monopoly over its App Store by charging 30 per cent fees to app developers for every purchase made by Apple users. Apple argues otherwise, in an ensuing legal battle that has dug up the past motives of both the companies for several decisions. Apple was recently pointed out for keeping iMessage exclusive to its platforms, denying those using Android a chance to experience the messaging service.

So, in short, Apple might be held accountable for keeping its ecosystem, and hence its revenue streams, pretty exclusive for all these years and yes, the allegations are quite serious. Don't forget though, the legal action involves the maker of one of the most popular games at present. Ergo, there is bound to be fun.

One such incident was spotted by Twitter user Lumen. In a recent tweet, Lumen pointed out that Epic Games had brought a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X into court during the trial. The gamer community, obviously, could not keep calm. Many predicted that this should be the first time ever that gaming consoles have been brought in as evidence in a court trial. Others exclaimed how Epic Games even managed to get a PlayStation 5, as they wait for it since months. A report by Kotaku confirms that PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch were indeed brought to the court proceeding. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, was made to identify the three gaming consoles by pointing at them.

He identified all three. Not surprising.

Though it is not clear as to why he was made to do that. It is possible that the consoles had something to do with the presence of Fortnite or other games by Epic on all three platforms. Regardless, the bigger question here is, where and how did they get the PlayStation 5?
