2021, for the Indian automotive industry, has brought along plenty of news, a lot of which has had to do with price hikes. Plenty of two-wheeler manufacturers have announced their decision to increase the prices of their offerings in the country and adding its name to the list is the TVS Motor Company. The third largest two-wheeler company in India has quietly increased the TVS Apache's price in India -- yep, the entire range is now expensive, though the quantum of this hike is not humongous. TVS has increased Apache bikes' prices by up to ₹3,000.
The price hike, an expected exercise around this time of the year, is aimed to partially offset the rising commodity costs, i.e. the cost of aluminium, steel, precious metals, plastics, etc. But as noted above, the quantum of the price hike is quite reasonable and wouldn't exactly burn a hole in customers' pockets.
Out of all the TVS Apache bikes, the BS6 Apache RR
310 gets the biggest increse. The TVS Apache RR 310, which made the transition
to BS6 about a year ago, now costs an additional ₹3,000 as compared to before.
This means TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 price in India has increased to ₹248,000 from
₹245,000. And which bike gets the lowest price hike? Well, that will be the TVS
Apache RTR 160 bikes -- both the disc and drum models' prices have been
increased by ₹1,520.
