DC Comics has just released a
new preview for the upcoming issue Future State: Justice League #1,
showcasing the heroes of the future that have risen for form a League of their
own. New heroes have taken on the classic and iconic mantles of their
predecessors, and new versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and
more have come together to save the world when called upon. The preview pages
also reveal each hero's individual exploits, and it confirms that the Next Batman actually
achieves what the original Dark Knight Bruce Wayne was never able to do.
Future State: Justice League #1 comes from the mind of writer
Joshua Williamson with art by Robson Rocha, and sees the new Batman, Superman,
Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquawoman coming to together to save
the world and Multiverse. The new Superman is Jon Kent, the son of Superman,
and Wonder Woman is Yara Flor, a warrior demigod from the Amazon Rainforest,
while Far Sector's Green Lantern Sojourner Mullein also joins their ranks.
Aquawoman is the grown up daughter of Aquaman, and and the new Flash is a
newcomer from another universe who stayed to help after the fallout of some
unknown crisis. The Next Batman is Tim Fox, who took over as the Dark Knight after
Bruce Wayne was believed to have been murdered.
