Desi PUBG rival FAU-G is here for Android smartphone users

    The Desi PUBG rival FAU-G, aka Fearless and United Guards, is live on Google Play Store. The company had announced that the gaming app will launch on Republic Day (January 26). It is available as free download on Play Store for Android smartphone users. Pre-registrations for the game went live in December 2020 and are claimed to have received 4 million-plus downloads. The game has been developed by Bengaluru-based nCore Games.

FAU-G availability and compatibility
According to the developers, the game is compatible with all smartphones running Android 8 and higher versions. FAU-G is currently not there on Apple App Store, this means that iPhone users will have to wait. There is no official confirmation from the company on its launch. There's also no official word from the company if there will be a PC version of the game as well.

FAU-G gameplay
FAU:G mobile game pays tribute to the heroes of India's armed forces. nCore Games claims that the game is based on real-world scenarios. It is a free-to-play online action game. It has a single-player mode as of now. Battle royale mode and PvP (player versus player) modes will come later as per nCore Games founder Vishal Gondal. There are also reportedly several fake versions of of FAU-G. So, Android users need to be careful before they download the game. The official name of the game is: FAU-G: Fearless and United Guards and the developer is 'Studio nCore Pvt. Ltd'. It's important to check both these before downloading the game.


Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is promoting FAU-G. In a tweet in September last year, Kumar announced that the game will donate 20 percent of its revenue to the government's fund-raising trust for armed forces Bharat Ke Veer.
